NDA Entrance Exam Is Conducted By Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) For Enrolling Candidates To The Indian Defence Forces That Includes Indian Army, Indian Navy And Indian Air Force. The NDA Exam Is Carried out Twice in a Year. NDA (I) In the Month of April and NDA (II) In the Month of September.

  • Important Dates– NDA 1 2016: Date of Notification: 2nd January 2016
  • Date of Notification: 2nd January 2016
  • Last Date to Fill Application Form: 29 January 2016
  • Date of Exam: 17th April 2016
  • Important Dates – NDA 2 2016:
  • Date of Notification: 18th June 2016

Application Form:

The Application Form For The NDA I Exam Will Be Announced From 2nd January 2016, And For The NDA II, The Notification Will Be Announced On 18th June 2016.  The NDA I Exam Will Held On 17th April 2016 And The NDA II Exam Will Held On 18th September 2016. Candidates Will Have to Fill the Form Online. They Can Apply by Using the Website http://www.upsconline.nic.in/

 

How to Fill Form:
  1. Visit the Website At: http://www.upsconline.nic.in/
  2. Click On -Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC.
  3. Select The Post That You Want And Click On It.
  4. Fill All The Details Which Are Compulsory In Part 1 And Submit It.
  5. After Successful Submission, a Unique Registration ID Will Be Given On the Screen, Note It.
  6. Make The Fee Payment And Again Visit To The Website.
  7. Select Part 2 Registration And Enter Your Reg. No. And D.O.B.
  8. Fill All The Required Details In Part 2 Of Application.
  9. Click On the Submit Button.
  10. Take Print Out Of Your Application Form As It Is Important

Application Fees:
  • Candidates Belonging From General/OBC Category Have To Pay Rs.100/-
  • No Fee for SC/ ST Candidates.
  • No Fee for Sons of Serving / Ex-Junior Commissioned Officers/ Non-Commissioned Officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Citizenship
  1. Candidate Should Be Citizen of India
  2. A Person (Subject) Of Tibetan Refugee / Nepal/ Bhutan Are Also Allowed To Appear For NDA Exam
  3. Only Unmarried Candidates Are Allowed To Appear For NDA Examination
  • Sex and Marital Status: Only Unmarried Male Candidates Will Be Allowed To Appear For NDA
  • Age Limit
  1. Minimum Age Limit For NDA I:
The Applicants Should Not Be Born Before 2nd July 1997 and Not After Than 1st July 2000 Can Apply For Exam
  1. Minimum Age Limit for NDA II 2016
The Applicants Should Not Be Born Before 2nd July 1998 and Not After Than 1st July 2001 Can Apply For Exam
  • Physical Standard
Candidates Need To Be Physically Fit And They Shouldn’t Have Resigned From Any Armed Force Training In Past.
Education Qualification:
  • For Indian Army- Candidates Must Have Done Or Appearing Class 12th From A Recognized Board.
  • For Air Force And Navy-Candidates Must Have Done Or Appearing Class 12th With Physics And Mathematics From A Recognized Board. However, Minimum Marks, In This Case, Is 60 Percent

Exam Pattern:

  • Both The NDA 1 and NDA 2 Exam Consist Of Two Papers. The first One Is Mathematics And The Second One Is General Ability Test.
  • Mathematics: The Mathematics Paper Carries Out 300 Marks And Consists Of Mcqs Based On The Syllabus Of Class 10th, 11th And 12th. The Duration Of This Exam Will Be 2.5 Hours. There Is Also A Negative Marking For The Wrong Responses Given By Candidates.
  • General Ability: In This Part There Are Two Sections. The first Section Is Of English With 200 Marks And The Second Section Consists Of General Knowledge With 400 Marks.
  • The Paper Will Be Of Multiple Choice Question With Four Options In Which Candidates Have To Choose The Correct One.
  • There Will Be 120 Questions Of 300 Marks In Paper I And 150 Questions Of 600 Marks In Paper II.
  • Marks for SSB Interview Is 900 Marks

Syllabus:

Mathematics: – Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry Of Two & Three Dimensions, Different Calculus, Integral Calculus & Different Equations, Vector Algebra And Statistics & Probability.
English: – The English Paper Will Be Designed To Test Students’ Skills In The Languages With Verbal Reasoning And Usage Of Grammar.
General Knowledge: – The GK Paper Will Include Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, and Geography

Selection Process:
Selection Of The Applicants Is Based On Their Performance In Written Examination, Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence & Personality Test And SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview.
Following Is the Process-
  1. Candidates Must Pass The Written Exam.
  2. After Written Test, The Successful Candidates Will Be Call For Interview.
  3. After Interview, Selection Will Be Done On The Basis Of Medical Report And Document Verification.
